About Trace Wollner

I specialize in serving clients in the private equity space across all industries, primarily at the portfolio company level, providing tax compliance, tax advisory, transaction services, M&A, and tax/business consulting services for entities and high net worth individuals. My passion and expertise is with partnership structures, both complex and simple, and working with clients in the private equity space, especially those who are transactional, entrepreneurial, dynamic, and community focused. I am passionate about natural resources, such as oil and gas, water, farming, ranching, and wildlife. I bring experience and expertise regarding domestic and foreign operations at the federal and state levels. I have an extensive background serving closely-held structures and the HNW individuals backing those endeavors. Additionally, I have served various publicly traded companies, providing tax compliance and ASC 740 services. I graduated from Colorado State University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration in May of 2014. I graduated from the University of Colorado-Denver with my Master of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation in July of 2015. From 2014 to 2022, I worked in public accounting at Plante Moran (formerly EKS & H). During that time, my focus was in the Energy sector, primarily E&P oil and gas companies. I have also served companies operating oil and gas midstream services, oil field services, various types of renewable resources, farming, and ranching.
