   Played a key role in helping lead Osaka Gas to acquire Sabine Oil & Gas in an asset transaction in 2018 (35% of assets in Panola and Harrison Counties) and a corporate transaction in 2019 (entire company including all assets, personnel, physical offices and equipment). After the successful acquisition, became an important part of integrating the Osaka and Sabine employees, increasing the company value, and improving the quality of the assets.Responsible for providing legal knowledge, research and coordination of land issues dealing with drilling and operations in East and South TX. Researches leasing status, land rights, and regulatory requirements for existing production activities, exploratory activities and new opportunities. Negotiates and manages leasing terms and conditions with landowners/operators. Reviews drilling programs. Reviews JIBs and AFEs. Reviews gas marketing agreements. Consults with financial advisors for M&A. Actively participates in discussions regarding company growth in the US.Performs business development, gathers market info. and attends industry events. Performs due diligence and reviews tax / deed maps. Collaborates with govt. agencies and utilities. Conducts review of title and determines availability for leasing and applicable regulatory guidelines. Responsible for the acquisition and divestiture of assets. Drafts, reviews and edits pooling agreements, joint development and operating agreements, production sharing agreements, exhibits, leases, title opinions, assignments and purchase and sale agreements. Verifies accuracy of land docs and records; manages lease expiration and extensions. Responsible for implementation and on-going operation of land/lease system. Updates accounting and other departments; provides info. to ensure expenditures are properly billed out and collected. Ensures lease compliance. Contact point for external land consultants. Develops and conducts presentations for executive management in the US and Japan.
