1. Cyber Security Software Engineer

   Presently serving on an internal consulting group that gets loaned out to numerous programs to provide cyber support- Served as a consultant on extended business travel to a large financial institution in the NY metro area. Leveraging experience from my software development background and training in cyber security (including secure software engineering), I am supporting a team that is conducting Architectural Risk Assessments (ARAs) of the client\'s applications and infrastructure as part of an effort to defend their systems against cyber attacks- Developed and maintained numerous software applications spanning multiple programs and customers. Recent experience focused heavily on secure Service-Oriented Architectures and web/applications written in Java/JEE (with associated frameworks such as Spring) and JavaScript- Responsible for the evaluation, configuration, and integration of various commercial software solutions, particularly enterprise middleware and service-oriented applications- Directly responsible for winning over $ 1M in new business captures via whitepaper and proposal submissions for cyber security prototypes - Served as program manager for three contract R&D programs (the successful conclusion of one resulted in the award of two follow-ons); successfully socialized the research findings and prototype from these efforts to secure company’s position on a $ 1B+ contract program, resulting in a production implementation - Secured internal R&D funding on multiple instances for advanced, “disruptive” technology concepts - Served as technical lead (and later, program manager) for two SOA R&D efforts (20••••07). Efforts were led to successful conclusion: resulted in follow-on projects; research findings served as knowledge base and risk-reduction for production programs; and \"spin off\" applications were funded.
