ABOUT TOM PAYNE

I\'m a senior developer, with over 16 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, cross-platform systems in high-performance environments. My time working with top development companies like ThoughtWorks has given me a keen appreciation for Agile development methodologies and software engineering best practices, such as domain-driven design, object orientation, unit testing and test driven development and build and release management. I\'m at my best solving difficult problems, whether that is integrating with legacy systems, investigating obscure, edge-case production issues, or simply creating an elegant design to solve complex business problems.Most recently I have been working in an \"ML adjacent\" space, collaborating with Data Scientists and Product owners to bring ML inference components into a stable production environment.I\'m also an experienced team leader, a good communicator and confident mentoring other developers.I have particular experience of the banking industry, specifically in FX and FXO, with an excellent understanding of the entire trade booking process – from pricing engines, to client-facing applications through to Risk and Deal Booking systems integration. Financial experience:• Solid knowledge of all core concepts of FX and FXO domains• Understanding of Market Conventions (trade directions, SPOT, greeks, etc.)• Understanding of Risk and Deal Booking systems such as Limex, Murex and Wall Street Systems.• Integration with Reuters RET/ RMDS• Integration with Caplin Liberator, DataSources, CaplinTrader 1,2 and 3• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory legislation.
