SKILLS
ABOUT TOYGAR YILDIRIM
For me, a job that doesn’t utilize my knowledge and skills is a wasted opportunity. I’ve enjoyed positions in social media management, product marketing, communications strategy and digital sales. Despite these different roles I was privileged to take on, some things remained the same:1. I always trust my instincts but rely on data analysis to make decisions.2. Taking initiative and responsibility are fundamental parts of my work-ethic.3. Being a team player is an integral part to how I approach my roles.4. I teach through the mistakes I’ve learned from.5. I take great pride in being able to motivate.Currently, I am a part of the Porsche Cars Canada team focusing in business development. In a challenging time for the industry, I appreciate the day-to-day tests this role brings as I focus on developing macro strategies that will prepare us for the next decade. Previous to this role, I was a Digital Sales Coordinator responsible for supporting the dealer network with the implementation of data utilization projects. I’ve graduated from the University of Guelph, Lang School of Business and Economics majoring in Marketing Management with a minor in Economics in 2020. During my time at Lang, I’ve set high goals for myself and achieved them all. I was the first International student to graduate a semester early after completing five co-op internships. At the same time, I received 14 out of the 15 merit-based scholarships I was eligible for. My time at Guelph was special and I will forever be grateful for the opportunities it opened up for me.Outside of work, I rarely idle. Cars take a large portion of my free time – I find myself to have the same excitement about news in the industry today as I did 15 years ago. Anything from car spotting to hunting the greatest driving road in North America, I’ve devoted my life to this topic.
