ABOUT TOUSSAINT EGAN
As a passionate, well-rounded storyteller and entertainment journalist with over a decade of combined experience writing for online audiences, every subject I approach is driven foremost by a desire to deepen my own understanding of the world and share that knowledge with others. I take pride in my aptitude to write on a variety of subject matter, though my core areas of expertise are fine art, animation, video games, and film. I’ve written for several publications such as Complex, Playboy, The A.V. Club, Paste, and Polygon – where I have worked as a curation editor since 2021, highlighting the best movies, TV, games, and everything else audiences can enjoy from home. I am a proud member of the Chicago Film Critics Association, Vox Media Union, and the Writers Guild of America East. I have served as a three-time judge for the annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards and, in 2024, I traveled to Tokyo to cover the event in-person. I have also been a guest on NPR\'s Weekend Edition, where I talked about the life and legacy of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
