As a product manager I design impactful financial data products to internal and external clients. Through the adoption of agile practices, I deliver incremental value quickly and often according to strategic objectives and feedback from key stakeholders. High quality data drives the reliability and effectiveness of the ever evolving models we use to try to explain the world around us. I have been working with MSCI for over 10 years on data, including secmaster, instrument and entity reference data, optimizing the interplay of market data and terms and conditions. This experiences gives me the tools to understand client needs and support their complex use cases.Previously, I worked as Treasurer for a startup bank, Continental Bank of Canada. In my capacity as Treasurer I monitored market risk, liquidity and the capital position of the bank and reported to the Asset Liability Committee monthly. I have also developed a framework to facilitate the bank’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process. I was responsible for the investment of the banks capital in line with the governing policies.In my previous jobs I conducted economic and financial statement analysis of publicly traded companies and was involved in alternative asset management through the Queen’s Alternative Asset Fund. My expertise in technology helped me succeed in my various positions. To maintain, manipulate and interpret data I use Oracle, MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases. To analyze and display information in the data I use Perl and Python. Additionally, I pursue web application development for productivity tools in my free time and have built practical skills in ASP.NET, C#, HTML.I have earned my MBA from the Smith School of Business in Kingston, ON and am a CFA Charterholder. I have extensive experience in financial modelling and data analysis. I’m always interested in making new connections and meeting to new people.
