ABOUT OLUWATOBI TOWOJU

I am a Business Compliance Manager at Kuda, where I lead diverse compliance projects that support the organization\'s vision to make financial solutions accessible and affordable to Africans at home and abroad. As the data protection officer, I also oversee the privacy policies and practices of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. With a background in business risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and software development, I have participated in and managed multiple projects that employed an empirical approach with an emphasis on statistical analysis to entrench systemic controls in core risk areas of the organization. I have successfully implemented sanction-insulating initiatives, transaction monitoring modules, and internal control processes that resulted in significant savings, reduced fraud, and improved audit ratings. I have also contributed to the deployment and integration of digital platforms and software for portfolio management, asset holdings, and risk assessment. I hold a Master of Science degree in IT Management at Atlantic International University, where I focused on how to leverage technology to improve strategic business decision making. I hold a Certificate in Product Development for Digital Financial Services from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, and a Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Osun State University, Osogbo. I am also certified in ACIB, DCP, and Enterprise Design Thinking. I am a self-motivated and goal-driven professional, who takes ownership of projects and demonstrates proactive problem-solving skills. I thrive in a team environment, actively seeking input and understanding the needs of stakeholders at all levels. I identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, and automation, with a keen focus on aligning projects with business goals and values.
