A senior role in Scotland’s national tourism and events agency. Working closely with Scottish Government Ministers and officials, plus engagement and influence at all levels across Scotland\'s world-class events sector. Responsible for the design and delivery of VisitScotland’s national programme of event industry development activity, aligned to Scotland’s national events strategy. Led the national consultation exercise for Scotland’s recently updated National Events Strategy (2024 – 2035) and worked closely with industry, Scottish Government, and priority stakeholders on the strategy write-up and sign-off. Currently a lead member of the team creating the underpinning strategy Action Plan and Measurement Framework. Previously pivotal to the organisation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Central to the creation and co-ordination of Scotland’s Events Industry Advisory Group and its associated activity and outputs.
