ABOUT TORI R.
Tori Roy is a Los Angeles-based producer, actor, screenwriter, author, and creative entrepreneur. She began her career in the corporate sector before launching and successfully running three businesses — an interior design studio in Newport Beach, a luxury real estate firm in Santa Monica, and ultimately, her production banner, Dak Bungalow Films. A trained stage and screen actor, Tori studied the Sanford Meisner technique in Los Angeles and has appeared in notable stage productions including Agnes of God, The Early Girl, and Eric Bogosian’s Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll. Her film work includes roles in U.S. productions as well as a Bengali feature produced in Kolkata, for which she won Best Actress; the film went on to win five awards in total. Tori brings a rare blend of artistic instinct and business acumen to her work. She has worked with the Taj Group of Hotels as a Sales & Marketing Executive, and also spent time as a journalist and feature columnist. Creativity runs in her blood — her great- aunt was Suprova Mukherjee, the acclaimed yesteryear actress best known for starring in Jean Renoir’s groundbreaking film The River and works by Agradoot. Dak Bungalow Films has been the foundation of Tori Roy’s career as a Producer for over seven years, where she contributes to storytelling and creative filmmaking. Screenwriting is central to Tori’s work, enabling the development of impactful crossover feature films that resonate with audiences globally. With over a decade of experience in screenwriting and a background in creative arts, Tori focuses on crafting narratives rich in inspiration and engagement. As a previous member of WGA (West) and currently the SWA (Screen Writers Association), she values collaboration and strives for excellence in every project she supports. Dak Bungalow Films currently has a slate of projects in development, including two feature films and a web series. Tori is also a published author.
