Experienced Engineering Manager within the areas of data ops and natural sciences. Through my 20+ years as a software developer within data ops, oil & gas, bioinformatics, physics and chemistry, I have developed a keen sense of what is needed to make good quality software in a modern deployment environment. This means that I understand what a modern development team needs to be successful and make good quality products. In my day to day job, I strive to help my teams improve in all aspects, both in terms of personal development and development as a team. As the software developed can never be better than how the team functions. Before starting as an Engineering Manager, I had multiple technical development positions within data. ops software and O&G simulation software. I also have a background in Engineering (mostly O&G), Chemistry, Physics and Bioinformatics, and have a general interest in computer simulations used in Natural Sciences and use of large computer clusters for such simulations.
