ABOUT TINA RICHMOND

I offer an unrivalled tutoring service in Maths and English subjects for children from year 1 to 11 as well as adult learners. I help students to reach their maximum learning potential by carefully assessing their skills and setting them specific learning targets based on their tuition needs. What makes my service different? Being Hull born and bred, I am familiar with the local education service and the social and environmental factors that can impact on a student\'s life chances. My own experience of overcoming a lack of confidence in my Maths abilities also means that I can relate to those students who may be struggling with their studies. After 30 years\' of teaching in a variety of areas and education settings, including nurseries, schools, colleges and Universities, I continue to embrace a passion for learning. I am committed to delivering an educational benefit to each of my students, wherever they are in the learning process as I believe that, like me, every child has the ability to reach their maximum learning potential. I believe that exceptional tutoring is not only about what students learn, it is also about how they learn. By embracing a holistic approach to tutoring and acknowledging the importance of the process of learning in reaching learning targets is the reason that my students feel more confident about their abilities in the core subjects of Maths and English. It is always rewarding when I see my students beaming as they master and apply new skills! Of course, there is no magic wand - each student can only progress at their own pace of learning. I can help students to make the learning journey from where they are to where they would like to be. While it may sometimes be necessary to revisit previous learning before making progress, I enable students to build on their strengths and interests.
