ABOUT TOOS DARUVALA

I am co-CEO of MIO Partners, the in-house investment management arm of McKinsey & Company. Previously, I was a senior partner in McKinsey & Company’s New York Office, where I was leader of the Risk Practice in the Americas and directed our work in advanced risk analytics globally (20••••15). Prior to that I led McKinsey’s Banking and Securities Practice in the Americas (20••••11) and the Payments Practice. Since joining McKinsey in 1983, I have served financial services institutions and transaction services companies on a broad range of topics, including corporate strategy, business unit strategy, operational performance improvement, and organizational effectiveness. I served on the boards of MIO Partners, the advisory board of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) and the global board of McKinsey & Company. I serve on the board of The Royal Bank of Canada (RY) since 2015. I formerly served on the board of Card Connect (CCN); during my board tenure Card Connect went through an IPO and was subsequently acquired by First Data Corp at a substantial premium over the IPO. I am a member of the Advisory Board of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an Executive-In-Residence at the Columbia Business School, New York City. Additionally, I am a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Philharmonic. I hold an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which honored me with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2014.
