ABOUT TOOBA JAVED

I am Tooba Javed, a Dean’s List student in my fourth year of the Computer Science co-op program at Saint Mary’s University, having a strong focus on applied AI and data-driven development. As a research assistant, I contribute to projects involving 3D point cloud segmentation, topological data analysis, and representation learning. I work closely with self-supervised deep learning pipelines to extract persistent features from spatial data, refine sampling strategies, and evaluate model performance across experimental conditions. This research has helped shape my ability to think critically, handle complex data structures, and contribute meaningfully to publication-level work.Alongside my research, I work as a Business Analyst co-op at Nova Scotia Power, where I support operational improvement through data analysis and visualization. I design interactive Tableau dashboards that help track trends in scheduling and work order delays, provide insights for cross-functional teams, and improve communication across departments. I also participate in process reviews and internal reporting by identifying patterns and streamlining how information is used across the business.I am proficient in Python, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. I have experience in full-stack development, data transformation, and automation, with a focus on writing structured, testable code. I enjoy working in collaborative environments where technical precision, creativity, and real-world impact come together. I am currently seeking opportunities in software development, testing, and research-oriented engineering roles that allow me to keep learning and building.
