ABOUT TONY WINTERS
Tony has 30+ years of experience in Product Development as well as Computing and Software Technical Planning in the Retail, Hospitality and Sports sectors. His expertise includes product lifecycle development, quality control, customer insight and global expansion strategies.Tony is currently the Director of Products and Projects at Retail Realm, a multinational software development and distribution company for Microsoft Dynamics Commerce solutions. He supports the work of the global products team on strategies, campaigns and projects for several products – from inception to implementation – and oversees roadmap, development, design, documentation, execution, operations and customer support. He also manages all technical support departments, and works with marketing, sales, engineering and installation teams to deliver high quality products on time. Previously, Tony worked with Formula One teams (Jordan, McLaren and Benetton, etc.), developing weights and measures hardware and software for them from the ground up. He led the Timing and Scoring Team at the Korean Grand Prix reporting to the late Charlie Whiting, the FIA’s former F1 Race Director. With extensive knowledge in retail technology, Tony became a Microsoft Dynamics Retail Specialist for the Microsoft Dynamics RMS Store Operations and HQ software platforms. He worked with other Global Dynamics Partners on services to complement their practice and implemented global roll-outs on Dynamics products in retail and hospitality environments.Tony holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering Degree with Honours in Electronics and Computing Engineering. His awards include the Seeboard Prize for outstanding work and also Retail Realm’s 2016 Circle of Excellence.Outside the professional realm, Tony enjoys yoga, architecture, photography, cycling, music (guitar, piano) and house renovation. He has also started an e-commerce business with a friend, earning double-digit revenue growth year on year, selling Spanish Paella Pans, kits and ingredients.
