Trainee Electrician, Starting from little knowledge of electrics I have strived to learn as much as I can in a short space of time. I have achieved My 18th edition BS7671 level 3 award and I am described as competent to carry out minor works, and while I have the knowledge and skills to carry out major works, I am unable to sign these off myself. I have carried out EICR and relevant paperwork. I have completed most minor works from lamp and fixture changes right through to full rewires and Consumer Unit upgrades. I have a good understanding of wiring and planning and the ability to think ahead. I am able to quote for work and carry out the works with a budget in mind. I have shown I am a fast an eager learner with a can do attitude. I am not shy to get involved in order to learn and progress my career. I had plans to attend courses such as inspection and testing and building regulations however with this employment having come to an end these courses were cancelled. Due to a lack of work and projects my position within the company was unsustainable, this also saw the loss of other team members with regret from the company director.
