Monitored and contributed to the design and development of an ultrasonic generator and transducer for minimally invasive oral surgery. Participated in and led design reviews to ensure design requirements were met.Designed and developed unique titanium and nitinol ultrasonic disposal tips for oral surgery. This leading edge technology greatly minimizes oral surgery time and enhances patient satisfaction. Located and closely coordinated with multiple manufacturers to develop processes and enhance existing process parameters to machine, weld, and heat treat titanium and nitinol. This enabled lab testing to determine surgery parameters and protocols. Organized and coordinated labs to evaluate and test the surgical procedure. Optimized the procedure parameters to minimize surgery time and maximize procedure outcomes. Utilized high resolution computed tomography to evaluate and verify procedure effectiveness. Evaluated new instrument concepts, designs, materials, and coatings for root canal access, utilizing nitinol, diamond coatings, and laser ablation.
