ABOUT TONY WOOTEN

I started my journey in engineering and automation, but over time I found myself drawn to the fast-paced, ever-changing world of Information Technology. Since making that shift, I’ve focused on information security and governance, areas that allow me to combine problem-solving, hands-on work, and continuous learning every single day.I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in May 2024 and earned my Cisco CCNA and CompTIA Network+ certifications through self-study. I enjoy staying close to the technical side of IT while continuously sharpening my skills and expanding my perspective.Recently, I’ve developed a strong interest in management and leadership. I’m motivated by the opportunity to build trust, support growth, and inspire others to do their best work. I enjoy helping teams stay aligned, removing obstacles, and creating environments where people feel empowered, valued, and confident in what they bring to the table. My goal is to grow into leadership roles where I can blend technical experience with strong communication, accountability, and people-focused leadership.I’ve always been curious by nature and enjoy tackling challenges, whether it’s troubleshooting a complex system issue or figuring out why something under the hood of a car isn’t running quite right.Outside of tech, I’m all about family, creativity, and staying active. You’ll usually find me spending time with my two daughters (who have become my go-to photo subjects), or getting outdoors for a run or a pickup game.
