With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, I have worked with public and private companies, as well as international and domestic ventures. When it comes to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and alternative financial arrangements, I am the go-to person for my clients.Throughout my career, I\'ve had the privilege of advising and consulting with a variety of investors, owners, executive-level managers, and equity funds on a wide range of topics, including manufacturing, real estate management, material price controls, throughput, make versus buy, manufacturing locations and labor costs, machine utilization, and family-owned transitions and start-ups. I get it - balancing managerial supervision with shareholder satisfaction can be a tricky business.In 2016, I was elected to BDO\'s Board of Directors, and proudly served until the end of the maximum term in 2022. I\'ve also served as the national lead for the firm\'s Culture and Inclusion strategic plan.I’m actively involved in my local community and have served on several community and foundation boards, including Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Art Museum and several other local efforts.When I\'m not working, I enjoy giving back to my community by serving on several community and foundation boards, including Grand Valley State University and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
