ABOUT TONY KEENAN CENVH MCIEH

With over 20 years experience in Environmental Health, I am a passionate and dedicated manager who strives to ensure the health and safety of personnel and communities in challenging and complex environments. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Health and Chartered Status from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. I am currently a Regional Manager in the the British Army, leading autonomus EH teams across the UK. In this role, I am responsible for risk management, root cause analysis, compliance monitoring, policy development, regulatory analysis, performance evaluation, staff development, welfare support, executive reporting, and strategic planning. I also manage and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, such as the Medical Intelligence Plans and Ops certification.External to the British Army I am conducting Environmental Health visits in partnership with Newcastle City Council and a standing member on the National Public Health Advisory Panel with the Chartered Insititue of Environmental Health. This is complimented with being the Executive Officer of a Defence Working Group, focusing on Water Quality.I have developed and honed my skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation, as well as my knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices. I am proud to be part of a diverse and outstanding profession and always strive for the best with a focus on creating, managing and supporting professional and dynamic teams.
