Finance used to be seen as simple number crunching, but these days, finance professionals are involved in all facets of business. As much of what makes a business successful continues to morph, it’s important for companies to have a forward-thinking finance leader with a breadth of skills. With more than nine years of experience in financial analysis and accounting principles, I focus on helping businesses become more successful in every aspect of their operations through strategic forecasting and in-depth trend analysis. I’m most passionate about getting involved with start-ups and helping them reach their highest potential with bold, thoughtful financial guidance. Communication is key in a financial role, and I thrive in explaining the nuance and complexity behind how and why fiscal decisions are made. Whether it’s working with executive leadership on financial metrics or discussing the day-to-day with coworkers outside of the finance team, I see collaboration and relationship building as a main driver of success. When everyone understands the financial decisions being made and how their teams contribute, open communication becomes easier. As a leader, I’m always giving my team the opportunity to learn. Rather than simply delegating tasks, I provide background on the goal and give them the opportunity to brainstorm a solution. I want each person to see their potential and feel empowered to push boundaries.
