I have designed and built many state-of-the-art fast-paced projects costing hundreds of millions of dollars in both private and public sectors, in a variety of delivery methods and in local, state, national and international markets.The following is just one example of a recent evaluation as posted by the client’s project manager, on a project I lead and managed architecturally, where the design team received an “Exceptional” rating across the board along with the following statement:“The design team has performed tremendously on this task order thus far through final design. They truly managed the project and schedule never missing even one date that was identified on their original design schedule. There were some late changes made by the user, and the design team was able to accommodate these changes while still meeting their schedule milestone dates. They initiated required meetings, and phone calls to get issues resolved and always kept the Gov. notified of their efforts. Their quality control organization was very engaged and ensured that all submittals were complete and conformed to all requirements outlined in the UFC. The quality of the design submittals was exceptional and fully coordinated with all disciplines. The design team responded to questions within a day or two and always followed up with any needed items. As the first task order on this IDIQ, the design team is off to a great start.”The fact is that I am always open to the challenge.
