About Tony Drexel Smith
As the Managing Director of the Micro Fund, I oversee the incubator division, accelerator division, and investor relations. The Micro Venture Capital Fund, LLC was founded with the idea that a fund should be created to provide bridge funding into strategically identified early-stage enterprises in exchange for a reasonable equity percentage of their fully realized exit or liquidity event. The MVCF aims to achieve a significant multiple on investments over a relatively short period by identifying enterprises that can realize exponential growth without being negatively affected by the convergence of technology, vetting them individually while taking into consideration diversification, and engaging a 3-year oversight of compliance and governance.I am primarily a business finance consultant to entrepreneurs seeking start-up, early-stage, seed, growth and series “A” capital. I bring 30 years’ experience. I teach entrepreneurs the 7 key elements required to gain access to capital for an enterprise:(1) Prove a gap, a void, or a need within a market; “Value Proposition” (Why);(2).A clearly defined product or service (What);(3) Timing in alignment with market acceptance and demand;(4) Customer and Leadership Team (Who);(5) Operationally sound (How);(6) Right documents to the qualified audience with amount & payback plan;(7) Luck (prayer, meditation, law of attraction).
