ABOUT TONY CROSS
I have reported from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Indonesia, India and other countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe for RFI and other outlets. I now lecture part-time on journalism and Asian current affairs Read my blog: http://theravingreporter.com/ I have freelanced for Free Speech Radio News, Pacifica Radio,(US), RTE (Ireland), BBC (UK), APTV (Bahrein TV), Vatican Radio, and various others. I have done mainly radio work, some TV plus translation (French-English) and voice-overs, as well as working on RFI English-language website Since 2010 I have lectured on international relations and politics (Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Indonesia etc) at Paris 13 University. I have run radio journalism training courses organised by RFI in Paris, Khartoum and Tblisi and in Lebanon (Balamund University) for the CFPJ (Paris). Before taking up radio journalism, I worked in the UK on a political newspaper, reporting and sub-editing.
