About Tony Cifra
I’m an elementary school division director who cares deeply about people, purpose, and possibility. I believe that when students and adults feel seen, supported, and inspired, great things happen - inside the classroom and well beyond.Currently, I lead a K–5 division (approximately 220 students + 30 faculty) at an independent school in Oakland. My work focuses on building relational trust, strengthening systems, and shaping a culture where learners of all ages and identifiers can do their best work. I’m especially drawn to the complexity of leadership: the human moments, the creation of solutions, and the steady work of aligning values with practice.At my core, I’m about lifelong learning and growth - for students, for teams, and for myself. I ask good questions, listen closely, and strive to lead with both clarity and deep care.
