I regularly provide strategic advice to advise clients and protect their interests in state and federal investigations, enforcement actions, citizen suit actions and disputes between private parties involving environmental issues.I handle complex litigation before state and federal courts, government agencies and municipalities throughout Texas.I work with real estate developers and landowners to resolve disputes, particularly in the areas of environmental law, including air and water pollution and solid waste issues along with land use and contract issues.A significant part of my practice involves guiding clients to successful outcomes in environmental investigations, enforcement actions and litigation matters involving soil, groundwater and air contamination. I am known and respected for my collaborative approach to problem-solving, frequently working with all parties involved, including landowners, adjacent owners, state regulators, federal regulators and consultants, to provide a comprehensive overview of the environmental issues and find a reasonable solution.I represent landowners in eminent domain and government taking litigation and counseling as well as other high-stakes litigation matters involving real estate.I also handle complicated land use and zoning issues that have the potential to cause delays and keep projects from advancing. My understanding of the various municipal structures allows me to assist clients in urban revitalization, industrial projects and the development of raw land to secure the appropriate zoning, permitting and approval in a cost-effective manner.
