ABOUT TONYA TOLSON

I am an experienced educator and nonprofit leader with over 20 years of success in teaching, mentoring, and school leadership. Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Mountain Island Charter School, I specialize in guiding the MTSS process, providing social-emotional support to students, and leading teachers in creating inclusive, high-impact learning environments.As the Co-Founder of AJ and the Cool Kids Autism Foundation, I am deeply committed to advocating for individuals with autism and their families. I bring expertise as an IEP Specialist, helping parents and schools collaborate to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.My background as a Senior English Teacher shaped my belief in raising expectations for all learners.
