About Tonya Greene
I have decided to change things up a bit and work for a higher aquity ICU! I\'m so very excited for this new journey. I will definitely have more to come in this section. I previously worked in an Intensive Care Unit of a small community hospital. It\'s a 16 bed unit and we see a lot of respiratory failure, kidney failure, CHF, GI bleeds, DKA and insulin gtt protocols and so forth. I am experienced in titrating life saving medications, running continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and providing care to mechanically ventilated patients, among other things. I\'m trained as a super user with the Arctic sun in regards to post cardiac arrest and the protocol associated with this device. I work as a preceptor to new orientees and love to encourage and lead this next generation of nurses. I am a relief charge nurse and enjoy taking on that responsibility. I am on committees that include code blue, bedflow process, community involvement, and ICU clinical council. I also gather information that is included in the hand hygiene quality study performed at our facility. I love to learn, push myself, and be involved in making our hospital the best it can be. In the future, I would love to obtain my CCRN certification and become a designated charge nurse.
