Sourcing and Vendor Responsibilities• Vendor management and governance• Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks and issues• Build and manage cross-functional relationships (internal and external)• Develop contingency planning and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of projects• Facilitate exploratory discussions and RFP and RFI processes for full and functional service providers • Assist and/or lead the identification and selection of vendors• Negotiate contract business terms, scopes of work, pricing and payment schedules. Ensure agreements are commercial advantageous to GBT while minimizing risk through close collaboration with functional partners such as Legal, Finance and Development. • Lead vendor, study team, and department level meetings and teleconferences• Facilitate and attend bid defense meetings• Gather and report KPI data and metrics• Facilitate purchase requests and proper financial approvals• Facilitate financials: accruals, actuals, and projections/forecasts• Cross-functional process development, refinement, mapping, and implementation• Develop cross-functional tools and trainings Site Management• Manage and oversee global contract and budget development and negotiations • Cross-functional oversight• Meet company deadlines• Identify and mitigate contracting risks• Subject matter expert – global clinical trial laws, regulations, and guidelines• Collaborate with study teams to escalate concerns, risks, and resolutions• Mentor and train applicable team members in contract and budget negotiations• Develop departmental trainings along with project and program instructions and trainings• Develop country level trainings in applicable regulations and laws • Develop, implement, and refine departmental SOPs, policies, and processes• Manage relationships with CROs and sites to ensure efficient issue resolution, outcomes, and positively impact or improve business relationships, as applicable
