   Tony Simion is a Managing Director within Alvarez & Marsal\'s North American Commercial Restructuring division in Detroit. He specializes in operational and financial restructuring, turnaround consulting and interim management.With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Simion has deep expertise in business plan development and assessments, customer, vendor and labor negotiations, liquidity and treasury management, development and implementation of finance and accounting departments, and leading manufacturing location expansions and various profit improvement initiatives. He has worked with clients across various industries, including automotive, commodities, commercial real estate, home building, stored energy devices, internet and SaaS, residential mortgage servicing.Most recently, Mr. Simion served as the Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) for a privately held Tier 1 Heavy Truck Supplier in the heavy tonnage injection molding industry which successfully divested an underperforming division in June of 2022. He was the restructuring financial advisor for Paddock Enterprises, LLC, which successfully completed its reorganization pursuant to sections 524(g) and 1129 of the Bankruptcy Code in July 2022. Mr. Simion’s notable assignments include advisory services to the Washington Prime Group which successfully completed a sale process through its Chapter 11 process in 2021. Serving as a restructuring advisor to American Energy Permian Basin, which completed an out of court recapitalization transaction of approximately $2.1 billion of debt obligations in 2019. Mr. Simion earned a bachelor\'s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
