About Tony Pugliano
I am an interdisciplinary scientist specializing in chemistry, geochemistry, and geology, with over nine years of industry experience. I have a proven track record of advancing projects from initial concept, through data collection, analysis, and evaluation to deliver highly economic and impactful results.Over the course of my career, I have worked as a geologist in subsurface characterization, appraisal, and exploration; as a scientist in Business Development (M&A); in inorganic chemistry synthesis and characterization; and as a geochemist and fluid chemist. My expertise bridges computational, laboratory, and field analysis and includes working in all major basins throughout the USA. In my role as a geochemist, I focus on modeling and predicting subsurface interactions among hydrocarbons, water, and minerals. My work includes time-lapse fluid geochemistry for allocation studies, source rock geochemistry, understanding completion and production fluid interactions, polymer and surfactant chemistry, reaction path modeling, geothermal systems, enhanced oil recovery, and critical mineral evaluation. In addition to my professional career, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in materials chemistry where my research centers on metal–organic frameworks with applications in the energy sector.
