Mallory Renee Inc. is a division of Excel Handbags Co, Inc. which was established in 1941 inNew York City and has been under the same family ownership since then. We moved the business toMiami in 1973 and still reside in the building that we moved in to in 1973.Excel Handbags was one of the premier domestic handbag manufacturers in the U.S specializingin dress bags, evening bags, fabric and tapestry handbags. We manufactured 100% of our productsin the U.S. from 1941 until 1995. During that time, we were valued suppliers to a majority of the majorretailers in the country. We sewed our last handbag in the United States in 2001. Our products are nowmanufactured in China and Vietnam.Because we have an extensive manufacturing background and knowledge of handbag construction,we have chosen our overseas factories carefully, and will not do business with a factory until wevisit the factory, evaluate it and make certain that we are dealing with the owners of the factory.Historically, we have done business with large chain store customers and our operations staff hasthe knowledge and experience to deal with complex vendor requirements and shipping procedures.In 2008, we started producing environmentally friendly reusable and recyclable totes, and the businessgrew so rapidly, that we found it necessary and beneficial to separate this specific business in toanother company, Mallory Renee, Inc, which is now one of the premier suppliers of environmentallyfriendly reusable & recyclable totes in the U.S.
