Former, 25-year senior biotech banker (Lehman, Merrill Lynch, Leerink) with a balanced advisory experience in M&A and financial advisory. Left banking to work directly in biotech industry. Currently on multiple biotech boards and provide consult with biotech clients on strategic and financial matters.Joined Achillion, a close investment banking client, in 2018 as CBO. Led the strategic process that led to the sale of the Company to Alexion for a 75% premium up front plus another 50% premium in CVRs; thus creating up to $900 million in shareholder value in 15 months. Spearheaded new indications effort for a broadly applicable complement inhibition platform. Joined FogPharma in May 2020 to work with Greg Verdine and team as CFO & CBO to advance a platform and capability that can potentially drug critical intracellular targets that have been otherwise elusive scientifically. Successfully raised $107 million via an outside-led Series C round with leading private and crossover investors.Joined Iveric bio in December 2021 as CBO to assist a close investment banking client to maximize the value of the lead, phase 3 asset, Zimura (renamed Izervay post US FDA approval) and potentially build the company into a more comprehensive ophthalmic powerhouse. Strategic partnering process led to the sale of Iveric to Astellas for $5.9 billion in cash, three months ahead of approval and before additional data readouts. The transaction increased shareholder value by over 200%, or $3.4 billion over 16 months since joining the company.Joined Aura Biosciences in May 2025 as CFO and CBO. Aura is a late-stage oncology company with far-reaching potential. Aura\'s lead compound, Bel-Sar has the potential to be the first therapeutic intervention in four clinical indications, led by a phase 3 for primary uveal melanoma.
