Key Responsibilities 1. Service User Support: • Provide direct support to individuals with mental health needs, focusing on their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing. • Implement individual care plans and recovery-focused interventions. Team Leadership: • Supervise and mentor junior support workers, ensuring that care is delivered to a high standard. • Lead shifts, delegating tasks and providing guidance to team members. • Monitor staff performance and contribute to staff training and development. Care Planning and Risk Assessment: • Work closely with healthcare professionals to review and update individual care and risk management plans. • Monitor service users’ progress, identifying changes in their condition and reporting concerns to management 4. Crisis Intervention: • Respond to mental health crises, providing de-escalation and emotional support. • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users during incidents and emergencies. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, risk assessments, and daily logs. • Prepare reports for team meetings and reviews. Compliance and Safeguarding: • Adhere to relevant policies, including safeguarding, mental health legislation, and health and safety protocols. • Ensure that all activities comply with standards set by the (CQC) and other regulatory bodies.
