The University of Oregon Real Estate Investment Group (UOREIG) is a growing network of driven undergraduate students focused on mastering the multifaceted world of real estate. Through a combination of peer-driven education, guest expert sessions, and hands-on learning experiences, we provide our members with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in any real estate sector.As a Tier Two Analyst in the University of Oregon Real Estate Investment Group (UOREIG), I’m part of a selective analyst pool that focuses on real-world commercial real estate investing. In this role, I work with other analysts to underwrite deals, build basic financial models, and practice valuation methods. I help prepare investment-style pitch decks, case study reports, and market research that mirror professional underwriting, while getting regular feedback from club leadership and industry mentors. The program also includes an internal case competition where teams develop an investment proposal and present it to real estate professionals. Overall, the analyst role is a mix of technical learning, teamwork, and professional development meant to prepare students for internships and early careers in real estate and finance.
