About Tony Chen
I am currently a Senior Applied Scientist at Alexa AI, with a deep passion for advancing LLM-driven, personalized AI systems and machine learning solutions. Since joining Alexa AI in 2020, I’ve led impactful innovations in defect reduction and personalization, and constantly enhance experience for tens of millions of Alexa customers. Recently, I have been a tech lead in designing and developing the foundational LLM-driven agentic system for Alexa, helping convert ambiguous science concepts into a fully operational framework which will serve as the foundation for future innovations in Alexa. In addition to my production work, I actively mentor interns, engage in cutting-edge research, and share my expertise through publications and workshops, contributing to advancements in personalized AI and large language models. I’m always excited to design, build, and deploy innovative machine learning systems that address real-world challenges.
