About Tony Brunswick
With 25 years of nonprofit experience and 17 years of nonprofit executive leadership experience, I have been driven by a life-long desire to be engaged in work that makes a difference. Work that builds and strengthens communities. Work that empowers and unleashes the potential of people. Work that meets critical needs and addresses complex and challenging problems. Work that affirms the dignity of all people. And work that is rooted in a sense of compassion and love. I have worked with, been inspired by, and learned from a humbling cast of dedicated and talented people throughout my career. From my first job to my current, I have learned invaluable lessons on leadership, the importance of grace and patience, the need for inclusion and centering diverse voices, the critical role of relationships built on trust and honest communication, and, importantly, how to ask for help and how to offer it. I have also learned the importance of a clear mission and vision, articulated strategic plan, effective governance, sustainable funding, sound financial oversight, ongoing program development and evaluation, legal and regulatory compliance, and maintaining a spirit of continuous learning and adaptation. Throughout my career, I have worked to leverage the collective wisdom and strength of an organization to hold these interconnected elements together to build strong, safe, and impactful organizations.
