I am a Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng, MIET) with over 30 years’ experience working across high-hazard and low-carbon energy environments, specialising in electrical safety, asset integrity, and operational governance.I currently provide electrical technical authority within an Operations & Maintenance environment, supporting HV and LV systems to operate safely, reliably, and in full compliance with safety rules and statutory requirements. My approach is grounded in strong engineering fundamentals, practical risk management, and clear decision-making under operational pressure. As part of this, I also provide Senior Authorised Person (HV) support across the site portfolio.I am motivated by improving how systems are designed, operated, and maintained, strengthening electrical governance, reducing risk, and improving asset resilience over the full lifecycle. Safety, quality, and professionalism are non-negotiable in everything I do, whether working independently or leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams.A core strength is structured problem-solving. I enjoy investigating complex technical and operational issues using evidence, data, and human performance principles to identify root causes and deliver sustainable improvements, not just short-term fixes.Alongside my technical work, I am committed to developing people and capability. I actively mentor engineers and technicians, support professional registration through the IET, and value teamwork as a two-way exchange of knowledge and experience.I hold a First Class BEng (Hons) in Mechatronics and am proud to be a Chartered Engineer.
