Carl is considered by many to be one of the most innovative wrestling minds in the history of the sport. Since graduating from Iowa State University in 1973, he has been introducing groundbreaking and innovative products to the sport of wrestling. At only 23 years old, Carl invented his first device, the ADAM Takedown Machine, which was wrestling\'s first patented mechanical and spring-loaded full-body training device ever. Since then, A and W Wrestling has been innovating and improving its devices to be the most realistic and dynamic combat training machines globally. The company has now developed over eight different training devices. It has provided the opportunity for athletes to improve specific power, conditioning, and speed, allowing them to work toward improving their overall skill at an unprecedented level. Many consumers claim that these devices have been a considerable part of finding championship-level success within their sport. Carl Adams\'s son, Tony Adams, presented the idea to his father that these devices could also impact and help improve the skills of football athletes across the country. They then started a partnership to create Adams Athletics, where they expanded their markets to suit wrestlers and almost every combat sport that involves striking opponents and protecting their legs from a lower extremity attack. Since the beginning of their partnership, they have made necessary alterations and adjustments to adhere to football. They plan to fully launch and reposition their equipment for this market starting in May 2022.
