SKILLS
ABOUT TONI MARAVIGLIA
I\'ve spent 14+ years building consumer products that reach millions of users across 4 continents. I\'ve been working with intelligent, adaptive learning systems since long before \"AI in education\" became a buzzword. As Co-founder and CEO of the venture-backed company, Eneza Education for 5 years, I built the company from the ground up: recruiting the leadership team, managing 20+ full-time staff and 50+ contractors, securing critical telecom partnerships with Safaricom and MTN, and developing the product vision for our virtual tutoring platform. Eneza now reaches over 15 million learners across Africa and was “the most innovative company in Africa” according to Fast Company in 2015. Currently, I lead product and operations at Sprout Labs, also a venture-backed company, where we\'ve launched an AI-powered reading intervention app for children with dyslexia using proprietary algorithms built on top of ASR and LLM models. We are currently building an AI reading tutor for kids with learning differences. I direct the product team, manage budget, and shape our AI strategy. Before Sprout Labs, I led international product growth at Age of Learning (ABCmouse), launching personalized learning products in Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Costa Rica and additional products in Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. Earlier, I joined Uptake.org (foundation for the industrial AI company Uptake) as a founding team member, managing teams building machine learning products for social impact. This included college-matching using predictive models, computer vision models for conservation, and predictive analytics to combat human trafficking. My team partnered with Carnegie Mellon to launch the Machine Learning for Social Good Fund and trained 100+ leaders in applied data science.I\'ve advised 30+ startups and non-profits on product strategy, AI implementation, and go-to-market approaches.
