ABOUT TONICHA VERGE
My goal in life is to create meaningful change in everything I do. I strive to make a positive impact on people and their lives, embodying the change I wish to see in the world. I approach every task with passion and dedication, and l am a goal-oriented individual who strongly values safety. This commitment is reflected in my enthusiasm for lifelong learning, my willingness to speak up and educate others, and my openness to listen and learn from those around me.I began working at the age of 12, which has given me over seven years of diverse customer service experience, including roles as a team lead and two years in management. Since 2012, I have worked in the oil and gas industry, starting as a Labourer/Operator and gaining two years of Foreman/ Supervision experience. I am currently employed as a Safety Advisor at Suncor Energy.I hold an NCSO designation and OH & S Diploma through the University of New Brunswick, with the goal of obtaining my CRSP certification. Mental health is very important to me, I actively advocate for myself and others by pursuing mental health training, sharing my personal experiences, and promoting psychological safety in the workplace.
