ABOUT TONIA HAND

The past 6.5 years have been spent working remotely in a global environment leading large clinical teams to timely and accurate delivery per sponsor-tailored scope of works. I have 20 years of experience in clinical research, from setting up and managing a successful clinical trial site, to conducting, monitoring and overseeing more than 75 clinical trials in a wide range of therapeutic areas across all phases of research culminating in managing quality in the UK and Ireland for a top CRO. With experience in the various roles across site, CRO, Sponsor and Pharma, understanding of the clinical trial process in the various study types is extensive. A highly self-motivated and disciplined individual with a passion for quality, in possession of exceptional organizational skills, which, combined with excellent communication- and time management skills allows me to perform and prioritize successfully when working alone and within a team. Interpersonal relationship skills have been honed to achieve success in managing teams with various levels of training, knowledge and understanding, to facilitate growth and development of individuals in the remote environment. The added advantage of computer literacy has provided the ability to increase productivity in the current clinical research environment to improve performance in clinical research.
