A founding board member of the establishment of the Captain Scott Legacy Society, founded by philanthropists Scott Shaw and Greg Helem, with the mission to \"recognize the unsung heroes, volunteers, and unrecognized leaders in our society\" through awards and personalized recognition initiatives and to amplify their stories to inspire others and the future generation. Over the years, our projects and pilot activities have evolved into \"promoting volunteerism and giving\" among youth and young adults and creating positive community engagements, social connections, leadership and skills development, and adaptive volunteering models and initiatives for the future generation, such as the \"Volunteer Ambassadors Program\" for youth from all over the Lower-Mainland, British Columbia, to engage in meaningful community volunteering activities, as well as the \"Community Care Adventure\" annual celebration to bring together all local nonprofit and charity partners, to celebrate with all the community volunteers, and to enjoy good food provided by nonprofit/charity food catering partners.
