ABOUT TONANTZIN ESPARZA
Tonantzin Esparza is a Co-founder of music technology company Sunhouse where she leads Business Development and Artist Relations. Focused on creating unique collaborations with brands, musicians, music producers and DJs, Tonantzin comes with a multifaceted background as an entrepreneur, producer and actress. Tonantizin was Associate Producer of HBO’S \"Walkout\" and an Executive Producer of \"Without Men\" starring Eva Longoria. She was also nominated for an Alma Award for \"Outstanding Supporting Actress\" and appeared in a recurring role on the George Lopez Show. Prior to Sunhouse, Tonantzin served as V.P. of Acquisitions for Maya Entertainment where she was responsible for all content acquisitions, strategic planning, and brand stewardship for the international and U.S. divisions acquiring content for Theatrical, DVD, TV and VOD windows. As a key force behind launching Maya’s international sales division – including structuring the business plan, recruiting key talent and acquiring films – Tonantzin acquired over 100 titles for the company. Tonantzin was born and raised in Los Angeles where she is based, and supports innovation and cultural diversity in the arts and business serving on the Board of the Los Angeles’ Academy of Arts & Enterprise. Tonantzin earned her B.A summa cum laude at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and her M.A. at New York University with a focus on Entrepreneurship, Media and Business.
