ABOUT TOM Z. YUAN

With over 13 years of experience in biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, and protein engineering, my current role is Business Development Manager at Twist Bioscience, a leading synthetic biology company. My mission is to apply my scientific expertise and business acumen to identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations that advance Twist\'s innovative solutions for biopharma, healthcare, and industrial applications. I thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where I can leverage my diverse perspectives and experiences to create value for our customers, stakeholders, and team.I am responsible for expanding Twist\'s presence and pipeline in the antibody discovery and engineering market, by building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, prospects, and thought leaders. I also provide technical and scientific support to our sales and marketing teams, and communicate our value proposition and differentiation to various audiences. I was part of the founding scientific team at Twist Biopharma, where we designed and discovered novel antibodies for various therapeutic targets, including anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies that were published in Science and mAbs. I have also contributed to multiple patents and publications, and presented our work at various conferences
