ABOUT TOM WRIGHT
For over 20 years I’ve dedicated myself to delivering high‑quality care, leadership, and calm professionalism in demanding environments, whether that’s on the road as Emergency Ambulance Crew, in operational leadership with St John, or within a global corporate setting. In my new role as St John Operations Partner, I work closely with regional and national teams to ensure safe, effective, and resilient operations. I support operational readiness, develop and embed best practice, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our clinical and logistical systems. The role combines strategic oversight with frontline understanding, enabling me to advocate for our people, strengthen operational processes, and help shape the future of our service.Alongside this, my position as AV Operations & Projects Team Leader at Bloomberg sees me manage audio‑visual services across EMEA and APAC, lead a technical team, coordinate high‑profile events, and oversee complex AV infrastructure and strategic initiatives. The work demands composure, clear communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to guide others through high‑pressure situations, strengths I’ve refined throughout my career. My long-standing commitment to St John Ambulance remains central to who I am. As Emergency Ambulance Crew, I respond to a wide spectrum of incidents, delivering patient‑centred clinical care in both emergency and non‑emergency contexts. I also contribute to organisational wellbeing as a TRiM Practitioner and champion psychological safety through Freedom to Speak Up.Across both worlds, emergency care, operational leadership, and global AV operations, I’m driven by the same principles:lead with empathy, stay composed under pressure, and make every decision count.
