About Tom Willner
I believe we all face defining moments that shape who we become. Mine came when I was diagnosed with cancer at 30. It taught me that time is our most valuable resource and that creativity can turn even our hardest moments into growth.Today, I use those lessons in everything I do. At Georgia State University, I use technology to help students succeed. It’s deeply rewarding to be part of a community so dedicated to helping others reach their goals.Outside of my university work, I am a keynote speaker, musician, author, and founder of Now We Thrive, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people move from surviving to thriving after cancer and other life challenges. Through storytelling, music, and community partnerships, I help audiences build resilience, empathy, and momentum.Overall, I aim to bridge creativity, technology, and personal experience to help people thrive in work, health, and life.
