Tom Vaughan is the CEO and co-founder of Retirement Capital Strategies. Tom began his interest in financial advising by winning the school stock picking game in middle school. His professional career began in 1987 with First Investors Corporation, a Wall Street-based investment firm. Tom soon found that he wanted to be independent and free to choose the best option for his clients, thus the change to start his own firm, Retirement Capital Strategies. Tom’s specialty is crafting our portfolio strategies. Tom completed the CERTIFIED PORTFOLIO MANAGER™ program at Columbia University. He also graduated with a degree in Finance as a Dean’s Scholar from San Jose State University. He has served in the past on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club and as the assistant golf coach to his son’s high school golf team.
