WORK HISTORY
Sports Referee @Scottish Fa
Scotland, GB
Despite having a love of football, my playing abilities leave a lot to be desired. I had an interest in officiating from as young as age 15 but didn\'t attend training until age 17. I have been refereeing ever since, and have been taught useful lessons and life skills throughout. Refereeing is a high pressured environment, where you have to make efficient, accountable decisions, and be able to respond to the reaction they cause. I deal with people in a range of moods, from ecstasy to distress to rage, on a regular basis. Refereeing has taught me the importance of following guidelines to protect my authority, but to also use discretion where it is beneficial for progress of a match, particularly in youth football. I have also had experience working in team.
