Tom is an experienced Executive and Entrepreneur with a 30+ year career in healthcare and technology, including leadership roles in both early-stage ventures and established companies. He has built and led high-performing teams that developed and scaled innovations across software pricing, sales force automation, pharmacy automation, and home medication management. Grounded in learning, collaboration, and execution, Tom brings strategic clarity and operational focus to drive growth and improve lives through technology.From 2015 to 2025, Tom served as Founder and CEO of Spencer Health Solutions, an award-winning medication management platform operating in the U.S, Canada, and Europe. Inspired by a personal family emergency, he launched the company to address medication adherence and remote patient engagement. Spencer attracted leading venture capital support and became a trusted solution for payers and pharmaceutical partners.Prior to founding Spencer, Tom was appointed CEO of Parata Systems, LLC in 2010, where he led the successful launch of two new robotic dispensing technologies in North America. His leadership accelerated Parata’s market share and product diversification, firmly establishing the company as the North American leader in pharmacy automation. These efforts culminated in a successful sale to Frazier Healthcare in 2018 and ultimately to Becton Dickinson (BD) in 2022 for $1.5B.Earlier, Tom led Sales & Marketing at Parata, directing strategy, partnerships, and the acquisition of McKesson’s APS division. He began his career in commercial and tech roles at Cardinal Health and Baxter, where he developed sales automation platforms and a pricing tool that helped secure a $150M Premier contract.Tom serves on multiple private boards, holds several patents, and has published in peer-reviewed journals. He is an active YPO Southern 7 Chapter member and holds a B.A. from Duke University and an MBA from The Citadel. A former scholarship athlete, he was part of Duke’s 1989 ACC Championship football team.
